Building Early College for ELL Students

The EC team will be joined by DESE colleagues from the ELL office to launch a working group among the EC Community of Practice. The group will be tasked with creating guidance to programs to support ELL in their EC programming.

What does MyCAP look like for EC students?

This session will focus on how MyCAP plans for students may be adjusted for EC Cohorts to support their Early College pathway. We will also discuss how high schools and colleges may work together to bridge advising and student plans between institutions.

Cliff Chuang, Senior Associate Commissioner from DESE, will host this session. The session will be a guided discussion on the challenges currently facing programs regarding lunch distribution to EC students when they are spending their school day on the Early College IHE partner campus.

Planning for Long-Term Outcomes

This session will be a guided discussion on the challenges of supporting students in achieving college degrees after their graduation from high school. We will also discuss potential strategies programs can implement now to make it more likely the long-term outcomes of college degrees are ultimately met.
